Quick question for the group: How do you handle project management with multiple clients and they all use different tools?
I’m juggling Jira, Notion, Blitzit, Slack, and email—it works, but it’s a lot. Do you stick to one platform and guide clients there, or adapt to what they use? Would love to hear what’s worked for you!

@James Rhodes, found that using the same email for your various clients helps avoid a bit of confusion since you can switch between projects. If you use different emails for different clients, it ends up in confusion - it has happened to me before!😊

@James Rhodes I recommend creating a tutorial if you want them to use your tool! Often the friction is here for them to learn a new tool and this takes that issue away

@Isabel Feuerstein appreciate this idea, I have placed guiding steps on first arrival to a board but maybe a more thorough video would help win them over. 🙌

@Isabel Feuerstein @James Rhodes I’ve found a lot of success with a live onboarding session, supported by guides and videos.
For my digital marketing clients who are utilizing a full client management system, the onboarding and education sessions are required. Feels like a lot some times, but that up front...

@James Rhodes I'm actually extremely interested to know this too, so I'm attaching myself :D
I've juggled wayyy too many platforms, and recently been guiding everyone to Slack. If they need a kanban- Trello works pretty well...

@Dylan Campbell Yes, we've got to find a solid system cause the juggling is taking away precious time. Slack works but I'm now in 5+ slack groups with multiple conversations in each, work can get easily lost. I've tried their new Canvas feature.. maybe there is something more to it? I've...

@James Rhodes challenge them to a duel and see who wins to see who adopts whose systems 👀. I've done onboarding templates/emails and encourage them as much as possible in the beginning to see what I am using or where they can find me. If I let them know my process in the beginning, they're...

@James Rhodes I typically utilize a shared Asana Portfolio with each client that tracks progress across the different aspects of the projects.
If possible I also try to use it for a lot of async communication with comments on the tasks and subtasks.
Lastly, Asana integrates out to other...

@James Rhodes I've been working for Teamwork.com for over a decade and I've designed most of the things in there, so I keep using it today to manage all my projects and invite each new client to collaborate there. I have only 1 client (but it's my biggest one so far) who invited me to...

@James Rhodes I think it pays to be flexible. I have my own project management system, and I stick with that regardless of the client's preferred method of communication. But more often than not, they're willing to get onboard with my way of doing things.
I use Craft Docs (similar to Notion,...
