Bakery of Tomorrow — Old Craft, New Machines

What would tomorrow’s bakery look like through the eyes of a nineteenth-century illustrator? I used the kneading scene from “Het bakkersbedrijf” (1865–1875), an anonymous public-domain print in the Rijksmuseum collection, to create a custom V4 style in Recraft. My six-image series reimagines bakery work through robot bakers, drone deliveries, automated cake decorating, holographic ordering, autonomous bread carts, and a robotic collection hatch. I kept the muted colours and fine printed texture to connect familiar bakery traditions with unfamiliar technology.

The bakery of tomorrow — a robot serves fresh bread while an automated collection hatch helps customers. Created in Recraft using my custom style inspired by the historical bakery print.
