Ran out of credits so I had to submit something incomplete but I like this idea so I felt the need to still push through.
WAVES is a small interactive piece where you build a sandcastle, one click at a time.
Progress is slow and barely visible at first. It takes repeated clicks before anything meaningful appears.
Around you are other castlesālarger, more complete. If you hover over them, they grow. Yours begins to fade. The more time you spend comparing, the less your own holds its shape.
Thereās a quiet session timer, and a tide that slowly moves in. Nothing lasts forever, but you still choose where to spend your time.
The allegory is simple: you can tend to whatās yours, or you can watch what others are building. You donāt really get to do both.
