Day 17 of Roasting 30 bad Websites in 30 days to earn $4K.
A cupcake website today because I needed something sweet after 17 days of no clients. 😭
What's broken:
7 navigation items. About, Cupcakes, Cakes, Cookies, FAQ, Blog, Contact. I came to learn baking not write a dissertation.
"Learn how to decorate the most beautiful cupcakes!" — fine headline. But the dark moody photo behind it feels like a horror movie. Why is the cupcake in the dark? What did it do? 🧁
Two CTAs — "Explore ideas now" and "Start shopping." Pick one. You're selling cupcakes not a life decision.
What I fixed:
Pink and warm because obviously. Headline that speaks to the real emotion — not just learning, but being proud of what you make. Real cupcakes front and center. One CTA.
Even cupcake websites deserve better. 🎂

What if a healthy bakery stopped talking about restrictions and started talking about celebration?
That question became the starting point for LIBER, a fictional brand created to explore a different approach to web design.
Instead of focusing on ingredients, calories, or labels, I wanted the website to communicate something deeper: the feeling of gathering around a table where everyone belongs.
Every decision, from the copywriting and creative direction to the photography and interaction design, was guided by one simple idea:

For LIBER, motion wasn't just a visual effect -it became part of the storytelling. Using Squarespace's Finish Layer Block Animations, I introduced subtle transitions for text and imagery to create a calm, welcoming rhythm that reflects the brand's core idea. Rather than using animation as decoration, every interaction was designed to gently guide visitors through the story while reinforcing the brand's warm, editorial feel.
This project reminded me that memorable web experiences always start with words.
