Every time I read "our previous website designer..." I already know I'm about to hear the wildest story imaginable.
Seriously, what the *** is happening?
People watch three YouTube videos, slap "Web Designer" into their bio, and immediately start charging small businesses.
Then they realize they have absolutely no idea what they're doing...
...and disappear.
Cool.
The client is left with half a website, an empty wallet, and a new trust issue.
Small businesses don't have unlimited money so you can practice on them. They're betting real money on you. Sometimes it's literally all they've got.
If you want to learn, build fake projects. Build your own website. Build ten.
Don't use someone's business as your fucking tutorial.
At this point I'm basically running a wildlife rescue center, except instead of injured animals I keep rescuing traumatized business owners from "web designers."
