The Lovable Challenge asked for a simple booking fix: get a client from "Can I book?" to "You're booked."
And yet the feed is packed with custom 3D galleries, brand identity packs, and AI mascots. Did everyone miss the point?
No, they simply understood what the real game was.
A working calendar widget shows you can write logic. A fully branded experience shows you can build a product. When judges score “Craft & Execution” and “Storytelling,” a bare-bones form will always lose out to a showcase that looks ready to launch.
Branding isn’t extra work here, it removes friction. It builds trust, sets expectations, and keeps people from dropping off before they book.
Build a basic form, and you’ve solved a ticket. The winners, though, are building complete products.
Good luck everyone.
A concept sales tracker for small businesses. Every lead and deal sits on one simple board, with each customer's full history and automatic follow-up reminders, so no lead is forgotten. Owners can see what's coming in this month at a glance. Concept project by Ascalify.
Seeing the board pull each lead's full history together makes the monthly outlook instantly clear, and those auto reminders take the grunt work out of follow ups.
We just wrapped a product launch video for Molecule, an energy trading and risk management platform built for power and renewables.
Molecule had just shipped the first native MCP server from an energy trading platform. It lets traders connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot directly to their trading data and ask questions in plain language.
The product was genuinely new.
The challenge was explaining it to a skeptical audience without turning the video into another generic B2B tech ad.
Energy traders know their market. If the voice mispronounces P&L or ETRM, credibility disappears immediately. If the visuals feel too safe, they undersell a platform positioned as the modern alternative in a legacy category.
And because the video needed to work across LinkedIn, the website, email, and a sound-off exhibition screen, the story had to hold up in more than one format.
So we focused on a few things:
- Storyboard first. We mapped the full problem-to-solution narrative before animation started, giving the client a clear view of every screen, transition, and message upfront.
- A visual system pulled directly from the brand. A red dot becomes the Molecule icon, opens into the product interface, and travels through the film as a connecting motif.
- Rebuilding the product UI by hand. There were no Figma files because the interface had been designed directly in code, so we recreated it as editable motion graphics instead of relying on flat screen recordings.
- Getting the details right. We refined the voice, pace, and industry terminology, then reworked late testimonial footage into audio, pull quotes, and color-graded visuals that fit the rest of the film.
The result is a roughly 2-minute product story that makes a technical feature feel clear without flattening what makes it important.
Modern infrastructure, explained in a way that still feels like Molecule.
If you're launching a technical product and the story is harder to explain than the product is to use, let's talk!
