Noir Ink is a tattoo studio in Madrid run by Alex, a resident artist who works in hyperrealism, in colour and black and grey: portraits and compositions where light and depth do the drawing. Alex is also the designer, the tattooer, and the receptionist at the same time.
The problem: Getting a tattoo quote is slow for both sides. A client sends a DM and waits days for a reply, only to find out the price is out of their budget. Meanwhile, Alex's inbox fills up with small tweaks and literal copies of existing designs, and each one needs a manual reply. On top of that come confirmations, reminders, cancellations, and reschedules, all handled by hand. Every hour spent on messages is an hour not spent drawing or tattooing.
How I solved it: from inquiry to "you're booked" I built Noir Ink in Lovable as a five-step booking flow that removes the back-and-forth:
Your idea: the client describes the tattoo in their own words, including where they want it and the approximate size. A reference image is optional. Your estimate: they instantly see an estimated price range, so they know right away whether it fits their budget. Date and time: if it does, they pick an available slot. Your details: they enter their contact information. Confirm: they review the booking and confirm. The page shows the date, design, estimate, and a confirmed status.
After that, the client can cancel, move, or reconfirm the appointment on their own, and an automatic reminder goes out 24 hours before the session. A client can also just ask for a quote without booking, or book right away.
What it means for the tattoo artist Alex gets a private dashboard where everything arrives already organized: pending, moved, and newly booked appointments, with a clear view of what is happening each day. Cancellations and reschedules show up on their own, with no chat needed. Requests that need a custom design go into their own queue, so Alex contacts the client only when real creative work is required. Requests that a client started but never finished are tracked in an Incomplete section, and Autopilot takes care of reminders and follow-ups automatically. There are no more quote replies, no manual reminders, and no chasing people over messages.
The result The client gets an answer in seconds instead of days, and knows the price before investing more time. The artist spends less time coordinating and more time designing and tattooing.
