How often do you start exploring logos with sketching instead of going straight to software? I find it's the best way for me to find inspiration and explore ideas, here are some sheets from recent projects!

@Nicolas Jaroussie That's the waay. Same here, I find it hard to start right away on screens, I don't get as many good logo drafts on screen as I do from the good'ol pen & paper!

@Dani Evstratenko Yeah! Sometimes I even have a hard time reproducing my sketches into vector haha

@Nicolas J. Nice to see your process! Agreed, it's always best to start analogue, get a little messy before hopping into Illustrator. Thanks for sharing!

@Nicolas J. 100%. AND I prefer paper over an iPad!

@Nicolas J. Every single time, and I agree it's the best way to find inspiration.

@Nicolas J. Love seeing your process! I totally relate — starting with sketching always sparks the most unexpected directions. It’s like the ideas just flow more freely before the software steps in 🙌

@Nicolas J. Sketches first, always

@Nicolas J. I do start with sketches, but more often than not, I jump straight to software and just explore there. I need to focus more on drawing, as I believe I'm starting to lose some drawing skills that I used to have 😂

@Nicolas J. I have built the bad habit of going directly to Illustrator unfortunately :(

@Santiago Barrionuevo I mean, if that's the process you're most comfortable with, that's perfect!

@Nicolas J. I dont do logos, but this is how I build sites and interaction experiences. Instead of starting with branding and pixels, I go to paper and map out a simple storyboard to see how the user can interact, what would make it more enticing, and how I might miss something in my initial ideation.

@Lee Smalt Oh yeah, wireframing on paper was something I did a lot when I was still a student and learning webdesign!

@Nicolas J. This is so cool to see! As a non-designer, I didn’t realize how much variation goes into the early stages. Ever iteration looks like it's very own logo. I recently realized how rarely I pick up a pen and paper anymore so this is a nice reminder too :)

@Julia Spong Thank you! Indeed there's a lot of work behind the scenes that doesn't make it to the actual deliverables, it's part of the fun! 😍
