Hey Contra, I disappeared for a bit. Not because I stopped caring about design, I just needed a breather 🫂
I continued to work, but couldn't bring myself to post something here. Burnout caught up with me, and honestly that “you’re not good enough” voice doesn’t make a comeback any easier. Funny how you can work hard for years and impostor syndrome still shows up like it pays rent.
But I’m back, easing into it this time. I’ve also been posting some design content on my Insta along the way.
If you’ve been in that spot too: you’re not behind. Anyway, good to be here again🎉 For now you can take a look at one of the key screens of my new project that I can't wait to finish and show y'all!
So glad to see you back, and thank you for being so honest about burnout 🫂 You're definitely not behind! This book review screen looks super crisp and inviting. Take it easy and welcome back! 📚🎉
Thank so much! It means a lot☺️

Should I go for left or right? Focusing on updating and finishing up my portfolio... and then I came across this crossroads. Another alternative is to make them switchable themes through a toggle, but I still need to decide which should be the default.

Left is better because the text is readable, the overall blue background is not flashing to the eyes as compared to the right one.
For the top right button " Start a project ", you can add some animation so that it stands out and encourage users to click on it.
This is fire 🔥

I'm curious to see what happens when you make it this simple to get a proper landing page out into the world.
