Today I saw a video where a woman claimed that sexual violations happen because โ€œwomen give signals.โ€ And honestlyโ€ฆ I was shocked.
As a woman who wears a fully covered abaya, Iโ€™ve still faced harassment โ€” even while sitting quietly on a bus with my eyes closed. So what โ€œsignalโ€ was that? Silence? Breathing?
This is why victim-blaming must stop. Women are harassed when fully covered, when quiet, when doing nothing at all. Itโ€™s not clothing. Itโ€™s not behaviour. ๐ˆ๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ž๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ.
We need awareness, empathy, and honest conversations โ€” not excuses.
