Voyage Vista is a 3D travel explorer that helps people discover cool
destinations, check them out in 3D, preview places with more realistic
Street View, build custom journeys, and share them with friends. It
turns travel planning into a more visual, interactive, and collaborative
experience.
I wanted to create something 3D and immersive, and a series of ideas led me to shape it into this kind of travel experience. The project started with research and a structured PRD using Perplexity, then was built using Google Maps Platform APIs including the Maps JavaScript API, 3D Maps, Places API, Street View Static API, Geocoding API, and Map Tiles API. The full experience was then executed in Figma Make to bring the concept to life.

This is a great example of creative problem-solving. The final experience feels very polished.

Iteration, iteration, iteration.
Been living in Figma Make chat: tweaking the product, obsessing over UX, arguing with myself (and a few LLMs) about what actually feels right.
Starting to look like a real app. Finally.
That feeling when it finally clicks into place. Arguing with LLMs about UX decisions is weirdly underrated as part of the process. What's the core loop you landed on?
Nobody tells you that the hardest part of freelancing is the waiting.
Waiting for the right brief.
The right client.
The right moment to feel ready.
For a long time I treated momentum like something that arrives if you're patient enough.
This summer I'm done waiting for the current. I'd rather be it:)
So I made this.
A swimmer caught mid-stroke, blurred because she's moving, while the only thing holding still long enough to read is the word.
I built it backwards on purpose: the image is frozen but full of motion, and the text is the part that actually moves. A still that's all velocity, a motion that's all calm. That contrast is the whole feeling.
The process:
- Ideogram to generate the swimmer, motion blur and all
- Canva for grain and a bit of the moody texture
- Framer for the moving text, because if momentum is the theme, I wanted the motion to be real, not faked. Also because I'm spending this summer chasing more Framer work for Formeta, so I figured I'd practice what I preach
- Screen recorded the final piece to capture the motion
Movement as meditation. The work moves when I do.
