A layered, claymorphism-inspired dashboard card with a precision gauge. The needle starts at 0% and eases to a precise stop at 80%, and the purple-to-magenta segments light up as it passes. Two tilted metric badges, Drop-off and Retention, bounce in with soft shadows.
On hover, they level out and float higher while the needle gives a small twitch.
The goal was to make data feel tactile, calm and a little delightful, like a high-end physical instrument translated into a screen.
I add animations like this to the websites I design and build in Framer. Got a project that needs motion? Let's connect.
New project: a film-first website for Portugal Media Productions, an award-winning film and photography team whose work includes David Beckham for Haig Club. Built in Framer on our Nova Quinn template, with headlines over full-screen footage, a moving client logo strip, and a site the team now edits on their own.
The New Book of Beasts
A Medieval Bestiary of Modern Human Nature
What if medieval bestiaries described the habits of modern people instead of mythical creatures?
For the Recraft × Contra Styles Challenge, I created Illuminated Bestiary, a custom Recraft Style inspired by public-domain illustrations from 13th–15th-century manuscripts.
I used historical references from the Public Domain Image Archive to explore medieval animal anatomy, ornamental details, ink drawings, and muted natural pigments.
Then I applied the style to eight imaginary beasts, each representing a familiar modern behavior: overthinking, people-pleasing, doomscrolling, procrastination, ghosting, perfectionism, attention-seeking, and impostor syndrome.
The result is a collection of creatures that look like they belong in a centuries-old manuscript, even though their habits are very much our own.
