I didn’t enter the competition, but the brief caught my attention and I wanted to try something with it anyway.
I liked the idea of bringing Korean "Chaekgado" paintings into a Y2K world, with oversized silver apple headphones 🎧, traditional ornaments and a modern take on hanbok. Then I started playing with fisheye perspectives and mixing realistic faces with illustrated details. It grew into a little campaign concept, with posters and frames for a possible motion piece.
It was so much fun turning an old painting into something ultra-modern, mixing traditional Korean details with oversized silver headphones and Y2K vibes.🪩
Just a personal experiment inspired by the brief, not an official Apple collaboration.

Chaekgado shelves were always about prized objects, so oversized silver headphones fit the logic perfectly. The fisheye view and modern hanbok push it from homage into a real campaign.
