Cost optimization is a key part of building full-stack platforms for early-stage clients.

While working on MyMashwara, the client was clear: invest more only after acquiring users. Keeping that in mind, I made deliberate technical choices to minimize monthly burn.

I built a custom scheduling calendar instead of using Calendly, removing recurring subscription costs. I used Supabase for the database and Vercel for frontend deployment, saving the client $500+ per year compared to a Kinsta setup they were previously using. The backend runs on Render, allowing the system to scale smoothly as the user base grows.

This project reinforced an important lesson: real value isn’t just in development, It’s in understanding client constraints and delivering results that balance performance, scalability, and cost.
