Project Overview
I built a comprehensive investor-ready financial model and pitch deck for a fintech startup preparing to raise a $1.5M pre-seed round.
The Challenge
The founder had a basic spreadsheet that was messy, lacked proper structure, and wouldn’t survive investor scrutiny. They needed professional, credible financials they could confidently present to angel investors and VCs in the UK and USA.
What I Delivered
Full 3-statement financial model (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) with 5-year detailed forecasts
DCF Valuation with multiple scenarios (Base, Optimistic, Conservative)
Key metrics calculation: IRR, NPV, ROI, Payback Period, Break-even Analysis
Cash flow forecasting and sensitivity analysis
Clean, investor-friendly Excel model with professional dashboards
10-slide investor Pitch Deck focused on the financial story
Tools & Approach
Built using best practices in financial modeling (strictly following investor expectations). Used scenario and sensitivity tables so the client could easily answer “what if” questions during investor meetings.
Result
The client successfully used the model and pitch deck in meetings and received strong interest from multiple investors. The model was praised for its clarity, professionalism, and depth.
