Today I ran into an Expo EAS build issue that worked perfectly on my local machine but failed every time in the cloud.
My first instinct was to blame the code.
I reinstalled dependencies, cleared the cache, reviewed the logs, and checked my project configuration.
The code wasn't the problem.
A small configuration mistake was.
The fix took less than a minute. Finding it took hours.
What I learned
When an app works locally but fails in production, don't immediately assume your code is broken.
Start by checking:
Environment variables
Build configuration
File paths
Deployment settings
Sometimes the fastest fix isn't writing more code—it's asking the right debugging questions.
