Flexible Food Packaging Design | Seafood Pouch & Display Box Modern sardine pouch packaging with multi-SKU food branding and a coordinated retail display box designed for strong supermarket shelf presence. COAST & CO. is a contemporary flexible food packaging design created for a sardine product line that needed a modern alternative to traditional canned seafood packaging. The project combines food pouch design, seafood packaging design, sardine packaging, flexible packaging design and a coordinated retail display box into one cohesive packaging system built for supermarket and FMCG environments.
The main objective was to create a clean, recognizable food brand identity that could work consistently across multiple product varieties. Instead of using conventional metal tins, the sardines are presented in lightweight sealed pouches, giving the range a contemporary appearance while creating a large printable surface for custom packaging design, product branding, label artwork and clear product communication.
The visual system uses strong typography, generous spacing and a distinctive topographic fish illustration. This creates an ownable graphic element for the brand while keeping the seafood pouch packaging sophisticated and easy to recognize. The restrained cream, charcoal, coral, green and blue palette also creates a scalable packaging system design for different flavors and product variants.
Each pouch follows the same packaging layout design while using controlled color variation to differentiate SKUs. This demonstrates how multi-SKU packaging design, product line packaging, packaging extensions, flavor variant design and brand consistency can work together without making every product look identical.
The flexible format was considered as a real food-grade pouch packaging structure, including sealed edges, flexible film behavior and practical front-panel proportions. The design provides room for the brand name, sardine product description, flavor information, net weight, ingredients, nutrition facts, barcode, preparation information and other required food labeling content.
A coordinated kraft counter display box completes the retail presentation. The structure allows multiple pouches to remain organized and visible while strengthening shelf impact. This makes the project relevant not only to pouch packaging design, but also retail display packaging, shelf-ready packaging, point-of-sale packaging, countertop display packaging and FMCG retail packaging.
