It's a no-code AI app builder — you describe an app in plain English, and it generates the entire stack: frontend, backend, database, auth, hosting. No prompting for just a UI mockup, actual working software. Wix acquired it, so it's got real backing now, not just a side project.
Here's the part that made me pause as a developer: reviews keep comparing it favorably against Replit for cost and reliability. One user said they burned $700 on a broken Replit app before switching over.
My honest take: this isn't "coming for developer jobs" — it's coming for the first draft phase. Founders validating an idea, internal tools that don't need to scale, quick prototypes for stakeholder buy-in. The moment you need real architecture decisions, compliance, or scale, you still need someone who actually understands the system underneath.
But that first-draft phase used to be billable hours for a lot of freelancers. Worth thinking about.
