The condensation droplets and glass refraction on that serum bottle are so convincing I had to remind myself this is a full CG render, not a photo. Was matching realistic liquid and glass shaders the trickiest part of the whole scene?

As for your question, I don't think the shader nodes themselves were the hardest part. In my opinion, lighting was by far the most critical and challenging aspect. Finding the right angles and balancing soft versus hard light made the biggest difference. It was especially tricky...
