The Archive Painting is an avant-garde fashion collection that recontextualizes Japanese painting archives from the Met Museum, translating centuries-old brushwork into contemporary textile design.
Reinterprets these historical artworks through the lens of modern material exploration, moving beyond traditional display to embed the paintings directly into the fabric of fashion. By utilizing a diverse range of textile techniques—from the softness of cotton and the luxury of silk to the structure of brocade, the tactility of hand-painted leather, and the precision of laser-etched denim—the collection creates a dialogue between antiquity and industry.
The collection is grounded in a cohesive aesthetic that bridges the heritage of Japanese art with the raw energy of Tokyo’s small-town streets. The contrast between the archival imagery and the avant-garde silhouettes creates a unique visual identity, positioning each piece as both wearable art and a sculptural artifact.
The goal was to make the collection feel timeless yet disruptive—a modern interpretation of craft that connects the historical museum archive with the dynamic, subcultural energy of contemporary Tokyo.

PALEPAI : From Ceremonial Textile to Contemporary Streetwear
A nineteenth century ceremonial banner from the Lampung people of Sumatra becomes the starting point for this project. Palepai once carried meaning of ancestry, status, maritime culture, and passage through its ships, figures, and geometric motifs, and this collection reimagines that heritage as a contemporary streetwear line.
The process moved through moodboard research, detailed pattern extraction, flatlay outfit design, diverse model generation, editorial photoshoots, and cinematic video production. Codex and FLORA MCP were connected together to accelerate the entire workflow, from research and visual exploration to batch generation and final motion output.
The result is a full creative pipeline turning a piece of cultural history into a modern fashion narrative, told through pattern, texture, styling, and movement.

FLORA X CONTRA
this is really nice process and the result looks really clean
Inspired by the elements of the Italian light cavalry armour alla Tedesca, characterized by Germanic stylistic influences, I developed a series of garments and accessories that reinterpret the key elements of armour through a contemporary fashion perspective.
The research focuses on the transposition of military and protective aesthetics into fashion, transforming the structures, materials, and details of armour into functional and decorative elements of the look. The combat boots are enhanced with straps and overlapping elements that reference the fastening systems and articulated sections of the armour, while the belt follows the same formal language through a construction inspired by protective elements and military equipment.
The mesh T-shirt visually recalls the structure and texture of the cuirass, reinterpreting its protective function through a lighter and more contemporary material. At the centre of the look, the metal bodice acts as a reinterpretation of the cuirass, featuring metallic details and accessories that emphasize its sculptural character.
Wrist guards and a collar complete the silhouette, further echoing the shapes and protective structures of the original armour. The result is a contemporary reinterpretation of historical armour, in which its original protective function is transformed into an aesthetic and sartorial language, creating a dialogue between history, the body, and fashion.
