A client recently needed a testimonial video from one of his customers.
There was just one problem.
The customer didn't have the time to get on camera and record one.
Instead, the client sent me a photo of the customer along with the written testimonial and I handled the rest using AI.
The goal wasn't simply to generate a talking avatar.
It was to create a testimonial that felt believable.
That meant paying close attention to facial expressions, lip sync, camera movement, lighting, and the outdoor environment so everything felt natural and authentic.
AI can speed up the process, but realism is still in the details.

For this project, I redesigned a real Amazon beauty listing by combining customer research, strategic planning, AI-assisted concept exploration, and manual design refinement.
I began by analyzing customer feedback to identify recurring pain points and opportunities, then translated those insights into a clear creative strategy. AI accelerated concept generation and visual exploration, while every final decision, from composition and typography to retouching, image selection, and production-ready assets...was guided by human judgment.
This project demonstrates how AI can enhance a designer's workflow without replacing creative thinking, resulting in a cohesive, conversion-focused image stack built around real customer needs.

Human by Design: Driving AI with Instinct
About the Project
AI can generate stunning visuals in seconds, but it still lacks one crucial element: human intuition, taste, and emotional depth. For the Envato Challenge, I wanted to showcase the exact moment where human judgment turns a raw AI layout into a high-end, commercial-grade video.
The Workflow & My "Human by Design" Moment
When working with AI video generations, it’s easy to get lost in technical perfection that ultimately feels empty. My turning point in this project was realizing that not everything should be AI-generated. If there is high-quality B-roll, crisp sound effects, or a powerful music track already available, a real director uses them to ground the project in reality.
Instead of forcing the AI to fix its own pacing or audio mistakes, I took full control of the director's chair:
The Core: Used Envato Elements as my main creative hub to source real B-roll, seamless transitions, and precise sound design.
The Human Touch: Cut out the uninspired AI shots, restructured the timing, and layered organic audio to build actual tension and emotion.

Secondary Tools: CapCut / Canva
At the end of the day, AI might build the frame, but only a human creator can build the emotion. 🎬⚡

Blue Wave Charters & Tours — Give It a Glow
For this challenge, I chose Blue Wave Charters & Tours, a real private boat charter company based in Jolly Harbour, Antigua.
They already offer a premium experience: private trips aboard an Axopar 37, coastal tours, snorkeling stops, onboard dining, and excursions to Barbuda.
But their existing website does not fully reflect the quality of the service, and the booking process still depends heavily on email, phone calls, and WhatsApp messages.
I wanted to turn that into something easier for both the guest and the business owner.
- What I built
I created a live, mobile-responsive charter website and booking app in Base44.
- The new experience lets visitors:
Explore four charter options Compare routes and itineraries View animated trip paths Explore the Axopar 37 Choose dining and drink preferences Select a preferred date Add group size, occasion, activities, and special requests Complete a guided multi-step charter request Ask questions through an AI assistant
The goal was to make the experience feel like a premium digital concierge, not a standard contact form.
Instead of browsing through long sections and then sending a vague message, guests can now plan the full shape of their day before submitting an inquiry.
- The automation:
The main automation starts when a guest submits a charter request. The system automatically: Saves the request in a private Charter Desk dashboard Generates a unique reference number Creates an AI quick-glance summary for the owner Produces a suggested reply for email or WhatsApp Sends the guest a branded confirmation email Sends the owner a structured notification Organizes the inquiry by status
The owner receives the guest’s preferred charter, date, group size, dining choices, activities, occasion, and contact details in one place.
That reduces the usual back-and-forth and makes each inquiry much easier to review and respond to.
- Why this matters:
This is more than a visual redesign. The new product helps Blue Wave: Present the business at the level of the experience they sell Capture more complete and qualified inquiries Respond faster Keep leads organized Reduce repetitive customer questions Move guests from interest to booking request more easily
For me, the challenge was to build something that looked strong enough for a luxury charter company while also solving a real operational problem behind the scenes.
