Spent the last few days building my Contra profile from scratch while simultaneously applying to job postings. Cool and frustrating at the same time.
Cool because putting everything together; the projects, the services, the work covers, made me realise how much I have actually shipped. Sometimes you are so deep in the build that you forget to zoom out and see the body of work.
Frustrating because you are essentially selling yourself before you have had the chance to prove yourself on the platform. No reviews, no history. Just your work and your words and the hope that someone gives you a shot. That tension is real. But it is also the only way through. So the profile is live, the proposals are going out, and the work speaks for itself.
