CapCut is still the fastest way I know to turn raw event footage into a Reel.
Here's what I'd tell any brand or creator editing on it:
Hook first. Your opening 2 seconds decide everything. Start on the best moment, not on the intro.
Use auto-captions, then fix them by hand. They save time, but they still get names and slang wrong.
Match cuts to the beat. Edit to the music and the video feels more professional straight away.
Check for the Pro watermark. Templates marked Pro add a watermark to free-plan exports, so look before you send anything to a client.
Check your music rights. Sounds that are fine for personal posts may not be cleared for branded or sponsored content.
Back up your footage. Cloud storage on the free plan fills quickly.
My honest take: the free plan covers most social content. Pay for Pro only if you need 4K or the Pro-only templates, and check the current price on CapCut's site, because it changes.
For slow, high-polish client films I'd still reach for DaVinci Resolve or Premiere. For fast, scroll-stopping social video, CapCut wins.
