Nobody is fully up to date with AI.
And I think that is becoming impossible anyway.
There are new models, tools, features, updates, integrations, and platforms appearing constantly across OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, and many others.
No human can realistically know every update, every day, across all of them.
So I am trying to approach AI differently.
Instead of asking:
“What is the newest tool I should learn?”
I ask:
“What am I trying to achieve, and which tools do I already know well enough to help me get there?”
Then I update my knowledge when the goal requires it.
That feels much more sustainable than trying to chase every release.
For me, the useful skill is becoming less about knowing everything and more about:
knowing what you want to build, knowing which tools are useful for that goal, and knowing when you need to learn something new.
AI is moving extremely fast.
Our focus probably has to become stronger because of it.
