A few weeks ago I was searching for a kids' barber in Tashkent. Google Maps showed me plenty of barbershops but not every barber cuts kids' hair, and there was no way to tell which ones do. No websites, no service lists. In Uzbekistan that information lives inside Telegram channels and Instagram DMs. To find out, you'd have to message every shop and wait.
That's how I found Black Shark: 4.9★, 89 reviews, the best independent shop in its neighborhood and its entire online presence was a bare Telegram link. Every booking was a DM. Miss a message, lose a client. Meanwhile the big chains here have booking apps.
Telegram is a great messenger. It was never a booking system.

Spent the last few days polishing my SmileCare Dental Portal built with Base44.
Just finished refining the Before/After comparison slider, improving the landing experience, and fixing the last UI details.

I’m starting my build for the Base44 x Contra #base44giveitaglowchallenge, and I wanted to share why I chose Temple Lane Studios / Irish Rock ’n’ Roll Museum as my local business inspiration.
Out of all the businesses I could have chosen, this one was an easy decision.
I’ve been rehearsing there with my band since 2018, and it has always been one of those places where I could relax, switch off from everything else, and just enjoy playing proper loud rock ’n’ roll. Great atmosphere, great memories, and always a place connected with good energy for me.
That’s exactly why I wanted to build my challenge project around it.
The goal is to create a more immersive, interactive, and useful digital experience around the kind of things that matter here: bookings, rehearsals, equipment, visitors, and the overall backstage feel.
Still early, but I’m excited to see where this goes.
