This is where the project visual "sketching" landed after a few iterations.
From a few notes and simple hand-sketches (still old school here) from initial conversations, then creating images as the baseline which started the creative process to help communicate the design and character details, the moods and colors - to even imagining camera movement, lighting and (in my case) a hint of the soundtrack.
In the end, I feel like I'm wearing my artist hat as I dive into the canvas of helping to envision what this project could become for this filmmaker - as they figure out the big picture of their film.
I think next time around - I'd love to work with a composer that is wanting to bring their music to the screen. Using my creative eye to capture the emotion of their music in some visual samplings... It reminds us of how all our senses can be impacted by what we experience through creativity.
