The business
CAIRN is a new travel and authentic exploration company running small-group expeditions across four realms: Highlands, Open Water, Open Sky, and Basecamp at Night. Its purpose is to help people connect, socialize, and create memories. As a brand-new business, it has no reviews or booking history yet, so trust and speed matter from day one.
The problem
Every "can I book with you?" turned into a slow chain of emails. Customers dropped off while waiting, and the owner's day went to admin instead of running trips.
Fix the front door
Customers can check availability, request a time, and get confirmed in one visit, with no back-and-forth.

Fix the follow-through
The system handles the routine, and the owner only handles exceptions.
Confirmations and reminders sent automatically (7 days, 48 hours, and morning-of)
Self-serve rescheduling and cancellation through a private link, with spots released and the waitlist notified automatically
Lead and abandoned-booking follow-up that stops once the guest books
Post-trip thank-you and review requests to build the social proof a new brand needs
Owner dashboard that shows only what needs attention.
Result: A brand-new exploration company now has a website that works like a full-time booking assistant. Customers get confirmed in minutes, and the owner gets their day back.

Description
Event venues lose bookings because they reply a day late. By then the client has booked somewhere else. FirstReply answers every inquiry with a priced proposal and a held date in seconds.
The automation
1. An inquiry arrives from the venue page, or staff paste in an email.
2. AI extracts event type, date, guests, budget and requests, each with a confidence level and the exact words it came from.
3. Missing date or guest count? It writes a clarifying reply instead.
4. It matches the smallest free space that fits (or the two nearest free dates when it's booked), prices the right package and holds the date for 5 days.
5. The client gets their own proposal page and books with one tap. The hold becomes a confirmed booking.
6. Unsure details, over-budget totals or Review mode send it to a review queue first. Humans step in only when needed.
7. Views, acceptances and expiring holds update the pipeline and alert the team live. Every step is logged to the second.
The design A full design system first (tokens, type scale, components), built as a clickable prototype, then rebuilt in Base44 from prompts. Client pages are mobile-first; the venue side is desktop-first.

I built a little hotel you can explore.
With an AI teammate that turns guest requests into action.
Meet SuiteDesk, my entry for the #Base44Challenge, built with @Base44.
It’s an AI concierge and service workspace for boutique hotels.
The idea started with a small moment:
“Could we have two extra towels?”
A simple request still needs to reach the right person, get handled, and get back to the guest. SuiteDesk connects those steps.
Mira captures the room request.
Housekeeping receives the task.
A team member picks it up and completes it.
The guest receives an update
* Mira is the AI agent persona in SuiteDesk, trained on the hotel's specific service policies and local recommendations
What she does:
- Answers guest questions using only the hotel's own approved details: Wi-Fi, breakfast hours, amenities, policies.
- Turns a sentence like "we need towels" into a real request: it lands on your board, and the guest follows its status in the conversation.
- Recommends places and activities around the hotel, researched live.
- Writes in the guest's own language and always speaks to them as a guest, never as staff.
Guests ask from their phones. Staff manage the work from a shared service desk.
I wanted that experience to feel as welcoming as the hotel itself.
So I built an illustrated world around it: a courtyard, rooms, a spa, and Mira waiting to help.
The design gives you places to explore and ways to try the service.
Inside Base44, I worked on the agents, their instructions, hotel knowledge, and request workflow.
I kept reworking the artwork, copy, and navigation until the hotel helped explain the product.
The walkthrough shows both sides: the interactive experience and a labelled test request moving through the live service desk.
My goal was to give boutique hotel teams less to chase, while keeping hospitality personal.
