I built MUSE, a mobile-first booking experience for Teni, a solo mobile makeup artist in Lagos. The problem I wanted to solve was the back-and-forth behind booking a mobile makeup artist. For Teni, an "available slot" isn't simply an empty space in a calendar, she has to account for how long the service takes, setup time, her existing bookings, and Lagos traffic between clients. So instead of asking a client, "What time do you want?", MUSE asks, "When do you need to be ready?" It works BACKWARDS to find a time that can actually work with Teni's day. If the requested time doesn't fit, MUSE doesn't leave the client at a dead end. It surfaces alternative times Teni can realistically make and explains why they fit. Once the client books, the appointment is reflected in Teni's studio view alongside her existing schedule and travel gaps. The goal was to turn a vague "Can I book?" conversation into a confirmed appointment that already fits the artist's real working day.
