šŸŽ Day 2: From a Grey Rectangle to Dancing Strings
Today I started building Digital Kathputli (inspired by traditional Rajasthani string puppetry) — and immediately hit a wall.
My canvas-heavy MediaPipe hand tracking kept failing silently in the Figma Make preview. Just a black screen. Turns out the preview iframe was blocking camera permissions entirely.
I spent the first hour fighting it. Then I stopped.
The Pivot: Test exclusively on the live published URL. Every prompt → publish → test in browser. That single workflow change saved the rest of the day.
The Breakthrough: I stopped asking the AI to "just fix it" and started treating it as a collaborator. I pasted raw errors from the console directly into Claude Sonnet 4.6. The fixes became more precise, and my credits stopped disappearing into blind debugging loops.
The Result: By the end of the day, we had moved from a grey placeholder rectangle hanging from five golden strings to a proper 7-segment Kathputli puppet.
Move your index finger — her arm reaches outward.
Bend your ring finger — her other arm curls inward.
Raise your whole hand — she rises into the spotlight.
It doesn't look finished yet.
But for the first time, she danced.
And that feeling of your hand bringing a puppet to life through invisible strings? That's exactly what a Rajasthani puppeteer feels holding their Kathputli control bar.
✨ Lesson learned: Better context beats more prompts. Understanding the actual error saved both time and AI credits.

Love the visual direction here. The attention to detail really stands out.
