"Morta" Morta, an animated short film. A tiny, gentle Death walks through a European old town, watching birds and looking into shop windows, while the people around her stay unaware of who she is. Morta is the first film in "Little Fears", a planned series about the things we are afraid of, told soft. I wanted to show that death does not have to be a monster. Children are often more honest about fear than adults, so I created a small, quiet character who is more curious about the world than frightening. Morta is meant to make a difficult subject easier to look at, and the "Little Fears" series will continue with other fears in the same gentle way. Concept, storyboards and character design by me, with AI-assisted animation. The whole production was built in a node-based editor, with a locked character sheet, so the character stays consistent across the film. Video clips were generated with Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0. The soundtrack was composed with Suno. I directed and edited everything myself. Available for: short character-driven films, book trailers and brand stories.
