BrainTrip is a travel app that quizzes users on cities, then builds personalized itineraries from what they learn. I designed and developed every screen — no co-founder, no funding, no design team.
I shipped v1 six months ago knowing it wasn't good enough. That was the point. Since then, every screen has been rewritten from scratch — some three times. Weekly releases, constant user feedback, continuous improvement.
What I built:
Full React Native app (Expo, TypeScript)
AI-powered itinerary generation
Gamified passport with leveling, XP, and photo challenges
City trivia engine with 8+ difficulty tiers
Push notifications, calendar integration, field check-ins
GPU shader gradient backgrounds across every screen
Performance-optimized to feel native on all devices
What I learned:
The hardest part of building solo isn't the code. It's posting the ugly version and keeping going anyway.

For the CapCut Design Studio Challenge, I reimagined CapCut as an animated sci-fi universe called FRAME.
Instead of being a creative tool, CapCut becomes a living digital consciousness born from every video, image, design, and story ever created on the platform.
The project explores a world where creativity itself becomes alive.
Using CapCut Design Studio, I created:

FRAME: Born From Every Edit
A world where every creation leaves a frame.
What if CapCut wasn't an app?
What if it was a person?
Not a celebrity. Not a robot. Not another futuristic AI avatar.
A builder.
For this challenge, I imagined CapCut as Nchia - a character inspired by the communal philosophy of the Eleme people of Nigeria, where the greatest achievements are never the work of one hand alone.
Nchia doesn't create by himself. Around him exists a circle of skilled companions, each with a different craft: one shapes stories, another finds rhythm, another gives voice, another brings images to life. Individually they are specialists. Together, they become creation itself.
In many ways, that's what CapCut has become.
Behind every edit is an invisible team of AI tools working together, helping creators transform ideas into something the world can feel. This project reimagines those features not as software functions, but as living characters connected by a shared purpose.
The interface becomes a village.
The AI becomes a community.
The creator becomes the storyteller at its center.

⁉️ Requirements:
-No generic travel contens like airplanes and stuff.
-Position itself as a lifestyle brand rather than a ticketing agency.
🍀 WHAT WE DID ->
Crafted new logo as well as icon for there app, along with a brand new Brand Guideline, which is modern, minimal, sophisticated, focusing more on travel lifestyle and backpacking rather than just cheap tickets.
