IVRESSE — A World Drawn from The Intoxication of Wine
My starting point was Clodion’s The Intoxication of Wine, a terracotta group made around 1780–90. A satyr and bacchante are caught in an impossible balance: bodies twisting, weight yielding, a vessel suspended above them. The sculpture holds movement inside stillness—and that tension became my creative brief.
Rather than simply remaking the object, I imagined the world concealed within it.
I created IVRESSE, a fictional luxury wine house whose identity, bottle and cinematic mythology all emerge from Clodion’s sculpture. The terracotta group becomes the bottle’s sculptural finial. Beneath it, an entire candlelit theatre exists inside the crystal decanter.
The central film begins with hardened clay becoming living skin. The figures awaken, descend into the theatre and join a dance already in motion. Wine gradually rises through the auditorium, but the dancers continue undisturbed—until the final reveal transforms the theatre around them into the architecture of the IVRESSE bottle.
I also created the campaign’s hero advertisement and a series of editorial photoshoot images from within that same world. These are not separate interpretations; they are intended to feel like stills from a real campaign photographed inside the film’s mythology.
The accompanying six-second walkthrough is a small window into my FLORA process: the references, prompts, visual experiments and connected generations used to develop one consistent environment across sculpture, character, architecture, motion and brand.
The project asks what might happen if an artwork did not merely survive through time—but continued dreaming beyond its frame.
