I've been quite busy lately and been putting aside my personal website for enough time. The idea is building it (as a single landing page) in Figma Sites, so I'll have some fun seeing what can be done with the platform. Rn I'm ideating the hero section. Light or dark? πŸ™‹

You should keep both versions and add switch for users, so everyone could pick what they like πŸ™Œ

Yup, that's the idea. But I'm not sure it can be done with Figma Sites yet -- it definitely can be done with Framer though, but the challenge for me here is making a functioning and beautiful site with Figma Sites... so we'll see what comes out.
In Figma Design variable modes...

Dark looks cool

I designed it first in light mode, with semantic variables for colors, and then added a variable mode for the dark theme. So I'm a little biased towards the light mode myself. But I like both.
The idea is trying to give the user the chance of using whatever theme they like best.
