Hi Florence, i think it depends on your purpose. Option 1 is like a showcase of the steps, instead option 2 is for showing the global range of the app. Both work very good, but If I have to choose I would go with the option who fits most your goal.

I think animating option 1 frame after frame would be pretty good. Asides that, they both tell a good story since the stories are different.
