I have a habit of asking one question before I start designing:
"What would make this screen feel obvious?"
Not beautiful. Not trendy. Obvious.
Because the best interfaces don't ask users to figure things out. They quietly guide them.
While working on this mobile concept in @Figma , I kept removing things that looked good but didn't help. Every screen became a little simpler. Every interaction became a little clearer.
Funny enough, the design got better the more I deleted.
That's the part I enjoy most about product design not adding pixels, but finding out which ones don't deserve to stay.
Curious to know: What's the first thing you remove when a UI starts feeling cluttered?
