A hooded Pikachu with eleven emotions, built and animated entirely in Rive.

The idea: a small creature that can’t hide what it feels, because every mood leaks out as charge. Happy throws off cheek sparks. Annoyed vents electric smoke. Charged strobes the whole body white-hot. Fainted goes full swirl-eyed Pokémon faint. Electricity is its emotional language.

What’s inside: • 11 emotions: idle, happy, laugh, shy, annoyed, startled, charged, sad, sleepy, thinking, fainted, plus a confused head turn • A procedural rig: ears bend per-vertex from the head joint so they never break, the head tucks behind the hoodie collar, and the body squashes without ever leaving the ground • Every clip starts and ends on the same rest pose, so the emotions can be swapped live in a Rive state machine and loop seamlessly • Hand-tuned in-betweens: eased overlap, follow-through on the ears and tail, no one-frame pops • An original 8-bit soundtrack and per-emotion SFX, all synthesized from scratch
