The goal was to create a character selection flow that feels playful, magical, and expressive. Pick your companion, give them a name, and choose a trait that shapes their journey.

A mix of vector and raster assets, Ai agent’s script for sparkly stars, and a touch of sound design to bring the world to life.

This is Bob, a fully interactive Rive character who decided to register himself in the Rive Interactive Character Challenge :)

For this project, I handled the vectorizing, rigging, animation, and the full state machine architecture: visemes mapped to speech, expressions, triggers, and outfit swaps, all built to scale from a single .riv file.

Bob lives inside the Ctuber app. You type a script, tag the animations with a few buttons, and the app builds the full talking video on its own, AI voiceover included. Type something different, and he reacts differently. The app was built by the Ctuber team, and they were kind enough to let me use it to produce some of these videos.

Funny how a challenge makes you finish something you'd been sitting on. Glad this one did.
