Backstory This project is where it all started for me. I put this together during the COVID-19 lockdown while teaching myself Adobe Illustrator from scratch. It’s the very portfolio that landed me my first internship and launched my career as a designer. Fun fact: I didn’t have a drawing tablet back then, so every single line and curve was done entirely with a computer mouse. It took a lot of patience (and clicks!), but it taught me that you don't need fancy gear to start creating.

Drawing every curve with a mouse forces you to be very deliberate about anchor points, and that discipline usually shows in cleaner shapes. Do you still build paths more economically because of it?

100%. Because I didn't have a tablet back then, I had no choice but to be hyper-aware of where every anchor point went. It was tedious at the time, but it honestly gave me a bit of design OCD! I still obsess over keeping my paths clean and economical today, so I'm actually really grateful for that early habit.
