You wake up. It's October 29, 2004. 🎃
A POV nostalgia reel I created for my faceless account, Pop Culture Nostalgia: alarm clock, posters on the wall, the walk to the Halloween store and the candy aisle.
Every shot is AI-generated and art directed to feel like a still from an early 2000s teen movie: 35mm film look, warm golden undertone, hands-only POV, no faces.

Posting it on October 29 is a nice touch. Hands-only POV is a smart call too; it keeps you inside the memory and avoids the face consistency problem that usually gives an AI sequence away.
I ran Google's mobile speed test on 15 small business homepages this week. Cleaning companies, movers, AC repair and a few dentists.
11 of the 15 took over 10 seconds to show their main content on a phone. The worst one took 40.
What was slowing them down:
- sliders. on 3 sites the main banner sat inside a slider plugin, and that slider was the exact thing Google was waiting on
- background videos. 2 homepages loaded a video of roughly 4 to 5 MB before anything useful showed up
- oversized photos. one homepage loaded 8.5 MB of images
None of this needs a whole new site. One static hero image, compressed to WebP, is the first fix I'd try.

Has anyone actually seen a homepage slider help conversions?
That’s truly remarkable to hear. A beautiful design alone isn’t enough; fast loading also plays a crucial role. According to Google, if a website takes more than 3 seconds to load, most users will leave.
