A Lead Isn't an Opportunity Until You Understand It!
A lead list can look impressive.
Hundreds of names.
Hundreds of phone numbers.
But that doesn't necessarily mean you have hundreds of opportunities.
Over time, I've learned that the real work starts after a lead enters the pipeline.
You need to understand:
→ Who are you speaking with? → Are they actually a good fit? → What problem are they trying to solve? → What's the next step? → When should you follow up?
That's why I believe pipeline management isn't just about keeping a CRM updated.
It's about knowing what should happen next with every opportunity.
A clean pipeline gives you clarity.
And clarity makes follow-up much more effective.
What's one piece of information you always want to know before moving a lead to the next stage?
I'd love to hear how other sales professionals approach this.
