Every great local business has a story.
Sometimes their website just doesn't tell it.
For the #Base44GiveItAGlowChallenge, I wanted to build something that genuinely helped a real business—not a fictional company or a polished demo.
I chose TK Fitness in Midleton, Co. Cork.
If you've ever stepped inside the gym, you'll know it's more than a place to train. It's a community. People come here to get stronger, lose weight, build confidence, learn Muay Thai, prepare for Strongman competitions, or simply become a healthier version of themselves.
But online?
That story was hard to see.
The business relied mainly on social media and third-party fitness directories. There wasn't a dedicated website that reflected the professionalism, passion, and energy that Coach TK has built over the years.
So I set out to change that.
Using Base44, I designed and built a completely new digital experience from the ground up.
🏋️ A bold, modern website that captures the atmosphere of the gym.
🥊 Dedicated sections for Personal Training, Muay Thai, Strongman, Kids Fitness, and memberships.
📱 A fully responsive experience that works beautifully on desktop and mobile.
🤖 Smart automation that helps answer enquiries, guide potential members, and make it easier for people to take the first step toward joining.
This wasn't about adding flashy features.
It was about removing barriers between a great local business and the people looking for exactly what it offers.
One of my favourite moments was comparing the old online presence with the new experience. The transformation really shows what thoughtful design and automation can do when they're focused on solving real problems for real people.
This project reminded me why I love building software.
Technology shouldn't just look impressive—it should make someone's business a little easier to run, help them reach more customers, and give them something they're proud to share.
