I designed a notification drawer for Sentinel, a fictional security platform, to handle 50+ alerts without the clutter.
The logic behind the design:
Progressive Disclosure: Scan the list in seconds; only see raw logs when you expand a card.
Engineering-First Data: Monospaced code blocks for technical snippets. It speaks the engineer's language.
Collaboration: "Unassigned" triggers let operators "Claim" an alert instantly. No more duplicate work.
Intentional Friction : Bold "Investigate" button vs. a subtle "Dismiss" ghost button to prevent accidental clicks on real threats.
The goal? Lowering MTTR by keeping the operator in their flow.
What do you think of the density? Too much, or just right?
