Most booking software feels like filing a tax return.
When I looked at independent salons, the disconnect was obvious. Clients are booking an intimate, high-trust craft, yet the digital front door feels like an airport check-in kiosk. Meanwhile, the salon owner spends their evenings texting clients back and forth to puzzle together overlapping schedules.
I wanted to design an experience that felt like genuine hospitality.
The visual direction borrows from a classic thermal receipt. Instead of disorienting multi-step modals, everything unspools on a single continuous paper roll. Services and rituals stack logically, buffer times calculate quietly in the background to protect the schedule, and booking concludes with a deliberate slide gesture that mimics sealing an envelope.
On the flip side, the owner view cuts out dashboard clutter in favor of a calm, single-column daily feed.
I designed and built the entire application, business logic, and the walkthrough videos, directly inside Lovable.
Honestly, this was so much fun to put together.

I built Dial and set it up for a demo HVAC shop, Dry Heat Air Co. in Mesa, AZ.
For customers
• An AI voice front desk that answers every call, asks the right questions and flags emergencies
• Online booking in plain words. Dial suggests the likely fault and offers real arrival windows from the owner's schedule. Booked in about a minute.
• A live job page, plus a My Visits account with every visit, quote and receipt
• One tap to confirm "I'll be home" or accept a quote
For the owner
• The whole day on one screen: what needs you, what the front desk handled, the route and time saved
• Hold to talk after a job. The voice note becomes the receipt, the quote and follow-ups on day 2, 7 and 14.
• Both sides update live, so there's no phone tag
Built with Lovable and Lovable Cloud, ElevenLabs for the voice agent and transcription, and Gemini to write up each job.

Clients in the beauty space often reach out to me to help build websites; they all have the same issue in common. A great business with a very unreliable booking process, which can cost them time and clients.
My process: comp analysis first, then Pinterest for visual direction, claude to help prompts, then used Lovable to build the real thing.
I've been designing e-commerce and service based brands for a while now and Loveable is super versatile and an added tool for my process.

Meet Paw Calm — a booking experience for dog grooming businesses built to remove the endless back-and-forth between clients and groomers.
Booking a grooming appointment often starts with messages like:
“Is this your first visit?”
“Does your dog get nervous?”
“What condition is the coat in?”
“How much time should I book?”
“What time works?”
Paw Calm turns that chaos into one simple flow.
Clients enter their dog’s details, temperament and grooming needs once. The system uses that information to determine the appropriate appointment duration, shows only the time slots that actually fit, and saves the dog’s profile to make future bookings even faster.
On the groomer side, everything arrives already structured — appointment details, duration, client information and follow-ups — without digging through messages or manually piecing everything together.
