I designed and built Haven Therapy, a solo trauma-informed therapy practice based in Asheville, NC.
The Problem Dr. Michelle Ellis manages both in-person and virtual sessions, and without a unified way to track both, she was dealing with scheduling mixups and no-shows that cost her real revenue. Clients also had no clear way to see her actual availability, so inquiries were getting lost in back-and-forth email.
The Solution A single booking flow that handles both session types from one shared calendar, with payment required upfront to confirm each slot (fixing the no-show problem directly), plus automatic email confirmations so nothing falls through the cracks. Returning clients skip the intake questions entirely through a quick verification step, while new clients complete a short prescreener so Michelle walks into every first session already informed.
Design-wise, I moved away from the typical pastel "calm therapy" look most sites in this space default to, and built around abstract, nature-inspired imagery in moss green and gold instead.
