Recently, I went through a dispute here on Contra.
Scope was defined. Deadline was respected. Project was delivered and transferred.
After delivery, additional requests kept coming. At some point, I had to draw the line.
The situation escalated into a formal dispute, and we eventually resolved it with a 50/50 split.
No names. No drama. Just a real scenario many freelancers face.
My takeaway: - Clear scope is everything. - Iteration limits matter. - Transfer of ownership doesn’t always mean emotional closure.
I’m curious how would you handle this?
Would love to hear how other designers approach situations like this.
