Shyamoli Cinema – Online Movie Ticket Booking Platform

I had the opportunity to develop a complete online cinema booking system for Shyamoli Cinema, one of the popular cinema halls in Bangladesh. The goal was to provide customers with a seamless experience to browse shows, reserve seats, and purchase tickets online while ensuring smooth backend operations for the cinema management team. 🔹 Core Features & Challenges Solved: ✔️ Seat Reservation & Locking System – Built a dynamic mechanism to lock seats for a specific duration when a customer selects them. If the payment isn’t completed within that period, the system automatically releases the seats back into availability. This was one of the most complex parts of the project and ensured fairness in booking. ✔️ Secure Payment Gateway Integration – Implemented SSLCommerz with real-time webhook verification. Every successful transaction is instantly confirmed, preventing double bookings or fraudulent payments.

✔️ Purchase & Booking Flow – Designed a user-friendly checkout that handles booking confirmation, cancellation, and re-availability of tickets. ✔️ Advanced Reporting Dashboard – Built a powerful reporting system for admins to view ticket sales, revenue streams, and show-wise performance, making financial tracking and decision-making much easier. ✔️ Scalable Infrastructure – Deployed on AWS with S3 bucket support for assets, ensuring reliability, scalability, and smooth performance during peak booking times. 🔹 Tech Stack Used: 🔹Frontend: Next.js + TailwindCSS for a modern, responsive, and fast user interface. 🔹Backend: NestJS + MongoDB for a scalable and secure API-driven architecture. 🔹Cloud Infrastructure: AWS S3 for media storage and backups. 🎯 This project not only enhanced customer convenience but also provided Shyamoli Cinema with a robust, automated system to manage ticketing, payments, and reporting seamlessly.
