Are no-code sites actually better than custom coded ones?

Genuinely curious what people think about this.

No-code tools like Webflow and Framer have made it possible to launch something beautiful in days. The speed is real, the results can be stunning, and for a lot of projects that's honestly enough.

But then there's custom code. Slower to build, harder to hand off, but you own every layer of it.

Both have won projects. Both have lost projects to each other.

In my opinion they serve completely different needs and the real mistake is using one when the other was the right call.

What do you think? Is there a clear winner or does it always depend?

Here's what I've been working between client projects. Building solo teaches you a lot of lessons, but most importantly -that development is both scary and exciting. After this project I'm going to think of development handoff from a different angle.

New template incoming 👀 Brace yourself....

Just got feedback from the Framer marketplace reviewer for my upcoming studio template. Nothing major, just a few small refinements before approval.

This one is going to be a fully CMS-powered studio template (you’ll be able to complete almost 80% of the website just by filling up the CMS 🤫).

Been putting a lot of effort into making it flexible, easy to edit, and actually practical for real client work. Stay tuned for the release.

Base44 vs. Lovable

I’ve been testing the same prompt across different tools to see how they handle a website layout. While both nailed the aesthetic, the real difference came down to the interactive layer.

Base44 successfully captured the hover effects on the CTA buttons, while Lovable kept things a bit more static. It’s a small win, but these are the details that matter when moving from a mockup to a functional product.
