Goldmaster is done. Here's what I learned building it. 🔥 The project started as a question: what does a project management tool look like when it's built specifically for game developers — not adapted from corporate software? The answer was about language as much as design. Columns named for game dev stages. Milestones that go from Pre-Production to Gold Master. A bug log that tracks build numbers. Small decisions, but they change how the tool feels to the person using it. A few things that changed how I work: Writing the brief before opening Figma forced me to make design decisions early — before I was tempted to just make things look nice. Mapping user flows before UI meant every screen had a reason to exist. Nothing decorative made it through. The constraint of HTML/CSS/JS only pushed me to solve interaction problems with layout and motion instead of reaching for a library.
