Every SaaS founder I talk to wants the same number to go up…
Demo requests.
But here's what nobody is telling them.
The demo form is dying.
Not slowly. Not eventually. Right now.
In 2023, the average SaaS demo form converted at 4.7%. In 2026, per SaaS benchmarks tracked this year, it's closer to 2.1%.
Show-up rates dropped from 58% to 41% in the same window.
That's not a funnel. That's a leak.
And here's the part most founders miss…
Over half of your B2B traffic is on mobile now. And your 9-field demo form looks like a tax return on a phone screen.
Unbounce ran the math across 1.4 million forms.
9 fields → 3.6% conversion. 3 fields → 10.1%.
Nearly 3x. Same product. Same traffic. Just less friction.
The truth is brutal.
The top 10% of SaaS sites convert at 11.45%. The median sits at 2.35%.
That gap is not a traffic problem. It's a design problem. It's a copy problem. It's a form problem.
Fix the form before you buy more ads.
