THE PROBLEM
You become a dog groomer because you love spending your days with dogs. And then somehow you spend half of them answering:
How much is a groom?
Which service does my dog need?
Do you have anything available tomorrow?
How long will it take?
Where are you located?
Can I reschedule?
My dog hates baths. Is that a problem?
He might bite… but he’s really friendly!
You get the idea. 😅
For a small grooming studio, all that back-and-forth takes time. And for customers, having to message or call just to figure out prices, availability, and booking isn’t exactly the smoothest experience either.
So I started with a simple question:
What if the website could answer most of those questions instead?
THE GOAL
I wanted to create a grooming website that wasn’t just cute dogs and a Book Now button.
The goal was to give customers everything they need to go from “My dog desperately needs a haircut” to “Great, we’re booked!” without having to send a single message.
And because dog grooming is supposed to be fun, the website needed some personality too. No boring scheduling software. No corporate pet-care aesthetic. Just a friendly, playful experience that feels like the studio behind it.
THE SOLUTION
Meet Good Boy Studio — a playful grooming website with a complete booking experience built right into it.
Customers can first explore four clear services: Full Groom, Bath & Brush, Puppy Groom, and Nail Trim, with the important information available before they start booking.
Then it’s just four steps:
01. Pick a service
Choose what your pup needs.
02. Tell us about your dog
Name, breed, size – all the important fluffy details.
03. Find a time
Choose a date, see available time slots, and pick a groomer.
04. Almost there
Add contact details, review everything, and secure the appointment with a deposit.
The available slots also account for the duration of the selected service, so customers only see times that actually work for their appointment.
And clicking Confirm isn’t the end of the experience.
After booking, customers get a clear confirmation, can add the appointment to their calendar or reschedule it, receive an automatic reminder before their visit, and even get a little nudge when Archie starts getting fluffy again. 👀
THE RESULT
The result is a website that does all of the talking for the groomer.
Customers know what they’re booking, what it costs, when to show up, and what happens next. The studio gets fewer repetitive questions and less scheduling back-and-forth.
Which hopefully means more time spent grooming dogs... and less time answering “How much is a groom?” for the fifth time that morning. 🐕

What if booking your dog’s groom felt as easy as booking an Uber and helped the groomer run a better day?
As a dog parent, that question became the starting point for GroomLoop, my submission for the @Lovable × @Contra #lovablechallenge.
I built it around Paws & Suds Mobile Canine Spa, a fictional Denver business run by Sarah: one groomer, one van, and a day filled with appointments, customer texts, pricing questions, and travel between homes.
The problem: turning an inquiry into a confirmed appointment takes too much coordination.
The solution: a simple customer booking experience connected to an owner dashboard, with rules that account for dog size, coat condition, parking, service duration, and travel time.
The differentiator is Neighborhood Saver. When Sarah is already serving a customer’s neighborhood, an eligible groom costs $115 instead of $135. Customers save $20, while the incentive encourages bookings closer to Sarah’s existing appointments.
The demo walks through:
• Customer booking: four steps from dog details to an available appointment, transparent pricing, and instant confirmation for routine bookings.
• Exception handling: requests needing Sarah’s judgment enter a review queue, with custom time and quote proposals customers can accept.
• Appointment management: customers can change their booking, while Sarah manages her calendar, working hours, and neighborhoods from one dashboard.
The best part was how connected the building and storytelling process became.
Lovable was my central workspace: I used Chat mode to explore the problem, Plan mode to structure the requirements and booking rules, and Build mode to implement and refine the experience.
I also used AI-generated illustrations, a narrative script, and a demo video to communicate the journey, from Sarah’s administrative chaos to a more manageable day. The images and script were developed with ChatGPT alongside the Lovable build, bringing the product and its story together.
My focus throughout was practical: make booking easier for customers, reduce routine coordination for Sarah, and preserve her control over appointments that need professional judgment.

Veterinary visits shouldn't start with a guessing game.
You know the scenario: You're at the vet's office with your dog, and the doctor asks when you last gave your pet an antiparasitic dose. You start scrolling through your camera roll, trying to remember. From the clinic's perspective, it's the same chaos in reverse: hours of back-and-forth on WhatsApp to book an appointment, followed by the first ten minutes of the appointment spent playing detective.
That's why I built Milo, a care and booking platform for veterinary practices, as seen through Happy Paws Clinic in Bogotá.

As a pet owner, you can pick a slot, book instantly, and log your pet's food, weight, symptoms, and medications right in their profile. No phone tag.
For clinics, appointments schedule themselves. When the patient arrives, the vet already has the dog's routine, diet, and health timeline. Less admin means more time for treating pets.
